5-day Workshop Activities

• Daily demonstration and hands-on activities on history, coil construction, glazing, mixing clay, grinding mineral rock paints, traditional designs, kiln building, wood firing

• Daily hands-on supervised and open studio schedule

• Day trip to the town of Guaitil, see where the clay is dug, grind and mix colorants (typical Costa Rican lunch provided)

• Final day firing and kiln cooked bbq dinner

COURSE FEE: $500 includes all materials, classes, instruction, open studio time, trip to Guaitil, surfboard and boogy board use, firing, and discount on gallery purchases. All materials and tools are supplied but you may bring an apron and any of your favorite brushes/tools.

If you are traveling with someone who is not taking the workshop, but would like to join us in the day trip to Guaitil, the additional cost is $75 including transportation and lunch.
